Megan Linford
Hampshire based Folk-Roots artist, Megan Linford, has a unique sound drawing on inspiration from; Traditional Folk music, Blues, Nature and Poetry, she has blended these to create her own style. Megan starting gigging around the South at 16 and after receiving the 2014 Sussex Young Folk Performer award a year later; Megan went on to support many renowned Folk artists including; The Oyster Band, Flossie Malavialle, Martha Tilston and BBC 2 Young Folk Award winners Ciaran Algar and Greg Russell. In 2016, after graduating from ACM, Megan released her 2nd EP and first project with her band – The 5 track EP, called Rhiver, was the first step for Megan toward the growth of her sound. Having already self- released 2 EP’s and 2 Singles, Megan is working on her first Album set to be released this year. The album; due in 2020 will tell the journey through the seasons and the cold, the loss, the love, the happiness and the doubt along the way.
