Joe Jury

Joe Jury’s story starts back in 2005 when himself and friends start their first schoolboy rock band Kamikaze Union in the retired town of Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. At that point, their only goal is to make as much noise as possible but as Joe learns the tricks of song writing he quickly focuses on making music his career path.

Coming from a singer-songwriter background and inspired by Neil Young, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, Joe Jury wrote a catalogue of songs over the years where acoustic guitar arpeggios, synths, and electronic elements clash together to create an interesting and different, yet easy sound smoothly transitioning to poppier grounds.

His debut EP ‘The Streets of Campden’ received great first feedback from the press and hit over 55k listens. His later single ‘Love Somebody’ co-written by James Arthur’s producer Jack Gourlay with post production from Lostboy now counts almost 300.000 streams on Spotify.
Since release, the song has been added to Spotify’s Happy Pop Hits playlists, peaked at #27 in the UK Viral Charts and been played on Amazing and Reprezent radio – all of it which made it the freshest and most successful unsigned track of the summer.
His darker follow up ‘The City’ was the perfect tone to close the 2017 chapter ahead of new music.

After a slight pause to focus on writing sessions, Joe is now ready to make a comeback with the most vibrant material. Watch out for more fun upbeat 80’s pop hits coming very soon.

“There’s a maturity and skill on display here that shows he has a canny knack for writing personal, memorable tunes that impress on the very first listen.” – Record of the Day

“Hit with both soothing, acoustic airs, and an atmospheric riff, right from the start, it’s difficult not to feel an instant connection to an EP that will have you swaying.” – Fringe Culture Blog

“Each and every song sounds unique and represents Joe Jury’s gifted voice and versatile song-writing.”
- Music and Other Stories

“Jury uses a combination of instruments, some of which is a surprise to the listener’s, this adds to the music’s appeal as it doesn’t follow a pop formula or stereotype.” – On the Come Up TV

“At the one off intimate single launch, we were excited to see a more stripped back and honest interpretation of his music in person. Joe didn’t disappoint. We were treated to heartfelt stories of addiction, heartache and loneliness which resonated across the whole room. It was quite special” – Indie Music Central
